About this ebook

Nick Morgan was way out of Cory's league. Wealthy, suave and devastatingly handsome, he was a legendary playboy who had women falling at his feet. If and when he decided to marry, surely his chosen wife would be blond and beautiful—not plain and sweet looking like Cory?

But, it seemed, Nick had set his sights on conquering Cory and was determined to have her at any cost. But, she had to wonder, was it really her that he wanted, or her innocence?

I read a couple of Helen Brook's novel back to back and came to realize that all her novels have the same backstory. The heroine is either running or hiding from the world due to past abusive relationship. This book is also along the same premise, heroine had a bad relationship and believes no one can ever love her, parent issues. At the begining the herione comes across as smart and funny, but few chapters down she'sjust another sulky, rude insecure person who'll never be happy how much you give , lot of negative vibes. The hero is a good man , grounded who worked his way up to millions, so does'nt have the i've been born to money attitude. Overall a good book with few kisses and sulks here and there.
