The angst and yearning were off the charts. Hero and heroine were so besotted with each other! I loved the hero's persistent pursuit of the heroine and his directness. Heroine kept rejecting him because of her own fears and then later because of a Big Misunderstanding, but hero kept coming back. Sara Craven did a convincing job in showing that the heroine was besotted too, with her outward hostility a defense mechanism she used to protect herself. The ending was sweet, and cleared up the past misunderstandings.

If I could have given this no stars I would There’s a scene while the hero and heroine are on honeymoon that is so totally rapey, very much non- consensual and stomach sickening. This is not love, this is old school harlequin misogyny.

Great story sweet heroine and strong hero. They had an uphill battle and pride both had to go before they could share a life together. Best part was the end. I loved it.
