Sage Navarre is in Arizona on an urgent domestic matter that will secure her young child's future. And as a government field agent, she's been ordered to help Gabe track down an escaped mustang while she's here. Working with the cowboy is an incredible experienceand Sage finds herself wildly attracted to him.

But what will Gabe say when she dashes his dreams for his ranch? Because he's not the only one who wants that mustang.

Wednesday, October 5, 2011Review: Last Chance Cowboy by Cathy McDavid 5 STARSIt was an engaging story. I would love to read and see what happens in Ethan's story.Gavin's Family has been ranching in Mustang Valley for generations. They had to sell the land to pay for Gavin's mom heart transplant. Unfortuneately her body rejected it and died soon. Since they lost most of the land they had turned to riding school. Gavin has a new partner Dan and they plan to trap a wild mustang and breed him. He contacted the BLM but they did not believe it to be a wild mustang.Gavin's daughter had just started to live with him for the first time and they were not adjusting too well. Cassie loved the horses and her puppy went everywhere with her. She did not know her father too well he could only afford to travel back east every 3 years. Her mom got remarried and had a new baby but Cassie did not get along with her stepdad. Did not want to live in boarding school so it was her idea to try living with her dad. Gavin was happy to have her.Ethan was home from the milatary with a missing leg and was still adjusting to it. He can shoe horses and train them.Gavin's dad still lived at the ranch but he still was depressed and not involved with anything.Sage showed up at the ranch from the BLM to bring in the mustang. No one let Gavin know. Without someone from the BLM they could not get the wild mustang.Sage did not think their would be a problem adoptting the horse and her boss agreed. Sage also in the area to try and serve her ex with child support papers. He kept moving and had not paid any for the last 4 years.Dan demanded for the first time to test and make sure he was the father and had no interest in Isa a 6 years old. Dan was also Gavin's new partner. Dan did not want Sage on the ranch except to trap the Wild Mustang. They were going to do it the old way on horse back.I loved the horses. Cassie how good she was with Isa. Teaching her how to ride and how when Cassie rode she even took her puppy with her in her jacket. They all had to overcome problems. Hated Dan loved everyone else though.I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley.08/30/2011 PUB Harlequin Harlequin American Romance

Requested from NetGalley by MeOverall Rating 3.75Character Rating 3.75Story Rating 3.75Note: This was a very good short read! Perfect for a nice afternoon of escapism.Quick Review for a Quick Read: This is probably one of my favorite shorter contemporary western romances. The story was full of old-fashioned manners, great leading characters, and a romance built on people who needed each other. I really loved that Cathy David chose to tackle the issue of child support, children's issues, and things nontraditional families tackle every day. Best Part: The wild mustang! I would highly recommend this to someone who likes contemporary romances.
