All elements I love in HP, would be 5 but Ending felt rushed and too cheesy.

I am not a big fan of “sheik” romances. They always end up annoyingly whitewashed. In this case, he and his people are somehow, conveniently Christian, rather than Muslim, so the author could skate over any religious and cultural differences. In fact, the only cultural difference addressed is the arranged marriage.

That said, as far as it goes, this wasn’t too bad of a story if you can suspend disbelief at the utter unrealistic storyline and characters.

I liked Hakim, empathized with the h’s sense of betrayal and only noticed a couple plot holes. For a Harlequin Presents, this is one of the better ones you will find.

Thoroughly enjoy this book. I realized the other day that most of my favorite Harlequin Presents books were written by Lucy Monroe. There’s always emotion, spirit and believable chemistry.
