The conflict in the beginning of this book was really volatile. The hero’s actions which he explains in a few sentences with regret are OTT. However it’s an emotional journey and this heroine really has to put up with a whole lot of crap. She’s too forgiving too easily. Still a good read and a decent pace. Conclusion was a bit quick at the end.

I'm only 25% in and I'm not sure if I will finish this. The "hero" is a total self-entitled dick and super sleazy. The heroine is in a shitty situation that she isn't handling very well at all. She has a PH.D. But flunked out of common sense and backbone school. He is basically blackmailing her. she's scared and threatened and under supreme stress from several angles and he is wanting a BJ from her after seeing her for the first time in several years. There is no indication that he was ever a good guy and worthy of her - not even that he was sexy and ever good in the sack, just this demeaning sexist layer of sleaze. This doesn't seem angsty.... It's gross. Will report back....
