Decent read. It was definitely hot and steamy with a good plot concept. Certain things I didn’t like. For instance, the main character (Maggie) was excruciatingly INSECURE. Most of the time I wanted to straggle her because every time he (Khalid) did something nice or remotely affectionate she made up wild scenarios. Lack of communication was a major theme. Well, he tried to talk and she would refuse to have a conversation because of her insecurity. Which “of course” meant he didn’t try hard enough so he couldn’t possibly care or was still in love with his dead wife. Also, there was never a final resolution of the missing Mom and sister. It was a big emotional reveal and nothing ever became of it.
