      I originally hadn't planned on reading this book. Mostly because it didn't seem like my thing. But in the end I'm really glad I read it. I enjoyed it very much,more than I thought I would. Thanks Amy! :) Jeri Smith-Ready has created a wonderfully unique world. Rhia's journey in accepting the crow is an amazing emotional ride. I teared up few times while reading it. Rhia's relationships between both Arcas & Marek were both intense. But I have to say I like Marek alot better than Arcas. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I highly recommend this book especially if you love Fantasy.

      This book is Amazing!!!!This book is about people who get their animal spirit that gives them powers to do what that person is really good at better. As the people gain more experience their spirits give them more powers to do what they are meant to do. Rhia is the main character with a crow spirit which means that she can help spirits of dead people get to heaven. The reason Rhia accepts her Animal spirit is because she couldn't help her mom's spirit pass because she really didn't want to be a crow. This book is brilliantly written and the world of where Rhia and all the other characters live is being brought to life. the whole book shows how Rhia deals with her powers and learns more about other peoples powers depending on what stage they are in their lives and what city they come from.
