A lovely, tidy little read - the story of a grounded Air Force fighter pilot who is recuperating at his extended family's "compound" in Texas; there he meets the new vet in town who has a secret of her own to hide from the Randell family. They are a very likeable couple but each has a career they love and the idea of getting seriously involved with someone at this point in their lives is disturbing to them. I love ranch setting and cowboys, and books set in Texas and this one fits the bill in all aspects - the only recommendation or warning I would have to potential readers is: please read the author's "The Texas Brotherhood" series in order - I don't know where this particular book comes in the series but the comings & goings of previous couples was a little distracting, and just enough information was given about them that I don't feel the need to hunt down the previous books. Recommended for a nice quick, relaxing read.
