About this ebook

Getting falsely arrested feels like a scene from a bad movie for rising star Lily Wild, especially when she discovers the conditions of her release: around-the-clock surveillance by world-class lawyer Tristan Garrett. Ignoring her attraction to the sinfully sexy man who crushed her youthful heart is getting harder by the minute!

Lily's reputation is in Tristan's hands now and when he says jump, she'd better ask how high! With a reputation founded on control, he's determined not to lose his head over this little minx again. But he blazes white-hot every time he looks at her and it's burning away his couldn't-care-less facade!

Tristan is a millionaire/billionaire with a sister, Jordana. Jordana and Lily were best friends in school but Tristan hates Lily because he thinks she was a juvenile delinquent, drug-using Bad Influence on Jordana. Lily is coming back to England to be Jordana's maid of honor when she is detained by Customs for having drugs in her bag. Tristan bails her out by assuming custody of her. Of course Tristan and Lily shared a deep, passionate kiss way back when even though he hated her and once they meet again, it is hate-lust-hate-lust up the wazoo. Lily is beautiful and blond, Tristan is dark and handsome and smoldering. They snipe at each other in dialogue and have endless internal monologues about how much they lust after each other and how much they hate themselves for doing so.I made it about 40% of the way into this book and couldn't take any more. Had they been interesting characters, or had their dialogue been witty and sparkling, or had their internal monologues been less frequent and briefer, I probably would have kept going. But as it was, I don't care if they get their HEA. I'm ready for them to be run over by a bus in mid-argument.2 stars because the writing was relatively competent.
