      An awful premise as thin as the title suggests. A supposed upstanding Christian man breaks up with his pregnant fiancé the day before their wedding. Never once checks on the welfare of her or the child. Not once in 20 years. Doesn't remarry. Doesn't pay child support. Now you may have heard of this type of situation in real life but I don't want to spoil the plot should you not heed my advice to avoid the book. The actual factors involved are so melodramatic and improbable that it's sad that they believed anyone would lose themselves in the plot line. This is so far fetched I have no idea how the editors thought it would work. I'm sure that the author has some better books to follow but unfortunately since I started with this one I'm unmotivated to investigate my theory.
