About this ebook
The Hollow Earth Special Forces Team has run into a roadblock. The Big Boom has been triggered and is set to explode within twenty-four hours. Only the President of the United States knows the code to stop the countdown and he's missing in action.
Dirk and Aaron work frantically to try and figure out a way to stop the bomb from going off and destroying everything they've been trying to achieve, as well as the team
itself.
Meanwhile, a new team is assembling and their tale gets more complicated as they struggle to find meaning in the new age that has begun since the Big One that destroyed most of the major cities of the planet.

Chapter One
Miles looked at Doctor Sway intensely as he recounted what he and the other Special Forces had witnessed. The Doctor was very detailed in his description, as were the other members of his team. His almond shaped eyes seemed to brighten more and more as he detailed what he had experienced, his conjecture as to its nature, and what their next move should be to counter it.
Finally, Miles couldn't take any more. He put a hand up. I've got to think about this.
Doctor Sway blocked his way. His eyes had a fanatical look to them, like a man who just thought he saw God and had to tell the world or go to hell. You can't just let this go.
I can and I will. We have several hundred men and women depending on my making the right decision and right now that is food and water. Not imaginary monsters. You find something fascinating about this, you investigate. I've got a crew to keep together!
Miles said, his face stone cold.
Doctor Sway backed off slightly at the energies Miles was putting out and stepped out of his way.
Miles walked off, his head swimming with confusion as Doctor Sway stood behind him watching him make his way forward again. The thoughts that fought for control of him at that moment he had to keep to himself, but he knew a time of reckoning would come. When his part of the mission would rear its head and demand to be heard.
Dirk the Mechanic came up and offered the Doctor a hit from his canteen. Can't blame him, Doc. This whole mission has been jinxed from the beginning.
Doctor Sway gave Dirk a look of disgust, fighting to say what he wanted to say, but holding it back instead. Another day.
Or sabotaged.
Doctor Sway said without further comment and he too left for the forward section of the team.
Now that things were settling down again, he could put his time and thoughts to better use in the direction they were going. If the only monsters they had to fear were imaginary behind them, then so be it. Whatever force or forces were focusing on them, their intent didn't seem to be outright hostile, or they'd all be dead by now. Of course he couldn't discount the Insect monsters. Those defied all he knew about paleontological history. There were no fossilized remains of such creatures.
At least none on the surface of the world.
He shook his head and felt the hilt of his sword in his right palm. It felt reassuring. Some part of his life was still....honest. Though each day that passed, even that honesty seemed destined to shatter on the rocks of an uncertain reality that was growing darker and darker.
Dirk watched the Doctor weave ahead and then turned back to Private Stormboski, a cute redhead from Milwaukee, who talked like she had lived in the Bronx, and grew up in the South. One of the weirdest
