About this ebook

The Gossip Guru has some shocking news: devout Wallace Hamilton, head of rival newspaper the Davis Landing Dispatch, is not Jeremy Hamilton's father! Word is, his wife was already pregnant when they wed and now that Jeremy has learned the truth, he's quit. Who'll run the company while Wallace is in the hospital?

In more Hamilton news, quiet Heather has had a makeover — who knew she was so stunning? Maybe photographer Ethan Danes, who seems to have taken an interest in Heather now that she's started this butterfly summer.

A good beginning to this series. You get to know the whole family that this series is written around and some family members you will like more than others. This story is about Heather Hamilton. But also wrapped up inside her story will be the shocking discovery that Jeremy is not really Wallace Hamilton's (the patriarch) son. Wallace is in the hospital with leukemia, Jeremy, who was taking over for his father, has left and Tim (who I found rather annoying) is taking over. In the midst of this crisis Heather will find herself getting a makeover and also finding love. But it will come from someone who doesn't feel he is good enough for Heather, although he is really the best thing for her. I enjoyed watching these two, Heather and Ethan, dance around their feelings for one another. They were perfect for each other. The story left me wanting to read the next book in this series and see how other family members will cope with the issues they all seem to have to deal with.
