Author

Kate Walker

Kate Walker was always making up stories. She can't remember a time when she wasn't scribbling away at something and wrote her first “book” when she was eleven. She went to Aberystwyth University, met her future husband and after three years of being a full-time housewife and mother she turned to her old love of writing. Mills & Boon accepted a novel after two attempts, and Kate has been writing ever since. Visit Kate at her website at: www.kate-walker.com

The ending was good, nice resolve of all issues and a bit of drama to bring the hero and heroine together. The start was fine. However the middle dragged, so much so that I was skipping over pages to hurry it along. Too much talking and thinking over stuff, angstsy in the worst way.
The big reveal and the end did make up for it.

Kate Walker is one of my fave Mill's and Boon authors and I think this story is a good example of why I admire her work. A couple of things bothered me however. The issue that separated these two could have so easily been avoided with a little communication. Secondly, the ending felt a little rushed to me. Considering the aforementioned lack of communication, the h spills her feelings pretty quickly which - predictably - results in the H reciprocating. It felt a bit forced but that could simply be my cynicism rearing it's ugly head.
