3 stars. First chapter grabbed me and I had to keep reading to find out what happens next. The romance didn't really work for me. I was definitely more interested in the plot than with the romance between the main characters in this one.

Drew presents a beautiful and unique mythology, populated by strong, three-dimensional characters readers will quickly become invested in. Action builds quickly and in an unexpected manner, and readers will turn the pages eager to see what happens next. The one disappointment is, though the mythology is intriguing, it is unexplained.

I loved this book. Sometimes I read so many bad books in a row I start to think I just don't like anything, and then I find something like this, well done, perfectly paces, interesting characters, no plot holes (I thought she was going to leave some, but if they were there I missed them, she tied it all up beautifully). Then I remember that even romance can be done well.
