Book one of the Triune Stones

After her grandfather's death, Sara inherits an ancient pendant and a near-impossible questmaster the mysterious pendant's source of magic. Driven to do so, she must find the other two stones of power, long considered lost, while preventing an unknown enemy from finding her first.

Unprepared and alone, she travels to where the keepers of the stones, the Siobani, were last seen. Along the way she meets Tobar, leader of the nomadic Heleini tribe. As Sara wrestles with feelings for this intriguing man, she is also invigorated with her grandfather's passion to find the ancient Siobani race.

After a rival tribe kidnaps Tobar's son and heir, Sara must harness the stone's healing magic to unite the tribes and save the boy. But as the dark power stalking her gains ground, will she continue on her quest to reach the Siobani or risk everything to save the warring tribes from eliminating each other?

Read from April 26 to 30, 2013format ebook (edit)review My feeling mixed.... the book stated with a very slow pace and the nativity of Sara just add to my frustration. The Pace started to change, only at chapter 4, to my relief when the character of Mealys the healer, I much enjoyed her sharp tang and the no nonsense air of her. From that point the story really started to pick me, even though there were times which it returned to kind of slow pace, but it made sense because, it was the pace of nature.I liked the descriptions of the desert, mountains and swamps with there different peoples. I also was intrigued with the culture of taking 6 wives as much I felt kind of discomfort about it. It reminded me of the Bedouin in Israel, but even them don't have than 4 wives.Zenyl her mentor were little creeptic... I am not sure how much information she succeed to gather from him. too little to my test. But the story captured my interest and I really looking forward to see how things will developed.

It engaged me from start to finish. Leaving enough to the imagination yet painting a great word picture. Pure art.
