He might not have been offering forever, but Bryce can't understand a guy as sexy and smart as Mel choosing to stay rooted on the family farm over enjoying the high life with him. K.A. Mitchell

At a very early age, K.A. Mitchell decided that Ken and G.I. Joe made a much cuter couple than Ken and Barbie and was perplexed when invitations to play Barbie fell off sharply. Today she still loves hanging out with imaginary friends and making up stories. Even better, people pay her to read about them. Now the author of over twenty-five gay romances, she guarantees happy endings for even the surliest of heroes, despite all their baggage.

Love it and the setting was just charming. :)

This one is mostly sex, sex and more sex. Not badly written, and with a bit of emotional engagement if you can get into the characters, but I really don't think I'll remember it in a week or two -- and I think that says about all I need to say about what I think about it. There was even an attempt at angst, but considering I didn't care enough about the characters yet -- and was pretty sure of a happy ending -- it fell flat.

2.5 stars. Read for m/m team bingo special theme challenge.

Pretty good story, but I felt the story and I were slightly off pace with each other. Sure there was that "if you can walk away and not look back, it's not worth it" comment, but I still wondered about the nearly three year gap that Bryce was away. What made him decide he loved Mel, why now? And why was Mel so cautious and untrusting? Mel's action at the end of chapter 8 really disappointed me, and I even kinda hoped this one Christmas tale would have a sad ending, but that was just me feeling mean. I was glad the ending was happy, but still felt as though maybe I'd missed a previous book (I checked, I'm pretty sure this story's a standalone.)
