About this ebook

Captain Chae Beyon is a hustler, a mercenary pilot, a wounded woman who prefers her men to be easily thrown aside.

Daned Traern is a first-caste Ladaian bound by tradition and DNA to protect his race. He's willing to align himself with the hot space captain if she'll transport him home in time to ensure the right candidate is crownedand thus prevent a bloody war.

Disguised as Chae's sex toy, Daned is erotically bound to her through living gold, alien tech designed to increase pleasure. When he frees himself, their passion only increases...but succumbing to temptation will bind them togetherpermanently.

But there's more at stake than their needs. As Chae is dragged into a world of insane princes and sentient stones, hired killers hound them across the quadrant.

And then, as only her lousy luck would have it, Chae must choose between the good of the galaxy and her own heart...

Sexual Prowling set in a fast paced futuristic setting sure to please those who love layers of sinful devourings and adventure.I've found myself reading a ton of Sci-fi romance lately and I thank my lucky stars that they were books that were easy coming for newbies. Gambit, on the other hand, had me dropped to the ground full out running. The world setting is a big chunk to chew but thankfully it is very tasty :D A newbie may find difficulty in all the terms used but not so much the structure of the world. The structure was easy to grab it was the new words on my tongue but it didn't hold me back as much as you would think. I just highlighted in on my Kindle in the notes so if needed later I could easily refer back. Plus, I just pronounce new terms however I please and move on. I hate to disrupt the reading flow. Highlight of hitting the ground running: Kim Knox doesn't waste breathe explaining to death. It is what it is and details provided are necessary to the storyline of character development. I find it a refreshing way to read a new world.Characters. I would say there weren't many notable sub-characters. There are no best friends or side kicks. Mainly it is just Chae and Daned on their own braving the journey through the atmosphere in a small and poorly agile tau-class ship. Having the two solely rely on one another is key to accepting the romance blooming from the lust they both share. Romance: What I loved the most about the romance was the idea of Permanence. It read to me like that of soul-mates. Something deeper- soul calling to soul but in Chae and Daned's case it's genes calling to genes. They are a genetic match. All in all, Gambit is perfect for romance lovers who are comfortable with reading Sci-fi and steamy scenes. I'm not to sure I can go toe to toe with a true buff of the genre but I feel comfy enough to read sci-fi with the best of them. So, yes, I'm eager to read more from this author. In fact, I've already got my eye on a few. I enjoy Kim's writing. She dishes the adventure, suspense, and lusty romance in grand proportions.
