About this ebook

HIGH-SOCIETY SCANDAL

Mary Duvall came back to Eastwick to claim her inheritance--not to rekindle a romantic relationship with millionaire Kane Brentwood! Years ago, she'd been content as the English lord's mistress. But when he took another woman as his wife, she swore she'd never surrender to him again. And now she has no choice but to resist his attempts at seduction: to gain her millions, she must avoid any hint of scandal. Kane may be used to getting what he wants, but Mary has no intention of giving in and facing the truth about her past--or the lies she once told....

Honestly? It wasn’t interesting at all. Waste of time. Both protagonists were childish in my POV. Especially Mary, oh god, the fact that she had no self restrain against the male lead was annoying. She was a changed woman, or so she said, and yet she’d turn wanton ASAP in the male leads arms. Male lead was no better, he left her to marry someone else and respected the Mary to take him back with no consequences for his past actions. Give me a break :(

I the when authors don't explain everything. I just read this book and I have no idea what really happened with his marriage and why he stayed with her for over a year. It is just frustrating. It left me feeling dissatisfied. First off the H was a major jerk to the h and his wife, a real pig actually, and no ones personality or values could change that much ever. Not even in Harlequin land. Wasted an hour of my life reading this.
