      Go Ahead and Laugh

      "A (woman’s) heart plans (her) way,

      but the Lord directs (her) steps."

      Proverbs 16:9 NKJV

      Good morning, lady, I have a personal word for you today: God says, "YOU ARE NOT STUCK, IT’S A DIVINE DELAY!" I hope you have your spirit open today to receive. Don’t you worry about nothing; it’s a DIVINE DELAY. This is not our subject for today, but a word for the moment, specifically for you! However, today I want to share with you this inspiring thought: "GO AHEAD AND LAUGH."

      I know what you are thinking – Where is she going with this? Well, I was sitting on my bed last night relaxing from a long day of meeting everyone else’s needs and finally getting some me-time, and I began to reflect on my life’s journey thus far. I would encourage you to do the same sometimes. It was just me and God having a little talk about a few things and I literally began laughing out loud. You ever had that happen to you? You are driving in your car and your mind reflects on something God did in your past, a situation you found yourself in that was divinely ordered by God, or something He said that was ridiculously big, that He was going to do just for you, and you had to laugh. No, you are not crazy, you are normal (smile).

      I tell you, life can bring you down some strange roads. If you don’t laugh, you may crack up under the pressure. Who would have thought that you would be where you are today? Just like me, you had some major plans for your life. You wanted to be a big-time lawyer, doctor or congresswoman (that was me), and look at you now. It’s not that you are not big-time in what you are doing (because you are); it’s just that life is more fulfilling because you are in the will of God, doing what He purposed and planned for your life (and if you are not presently fulfilling your purpose, I’m going to pray for you throughout this day). See, oftentimes we have plans in our heart to do certain things or to be in certain places by a certain time. However, you must realize that it’s God who directs your steps.

      God often leads us down roads into places and connects us with people that would simply make you laugh (you’re whispering, "No, God not me, you can’t be taking me there, to live in that neighborhood, to work on that job, I’m not qualified…"). God is saying, yes you are! God has plans to take you from the last row to the front, from backstage to the spotlight and from the back of the line to the head of the line. I thought you knew – God has a sense of humor! Let me tell you something: You are not headed toward anything remarkably big, unless you embrace the wonderful opportunity to laugh at God out loud. Go ahead and Laugh!
