About this ebook

A Romance Novel by USA Today Bestselling Author Priscilla West

Note: This is the third book in Vincent & Kristen's story. Please read Forbidden Surrender and Secret Surrender  first, in order to fully enjoy this book.

"What gives you a thrill Kristen?"

No one is who they seem to be.

I let Vincent into my heart because he seemed so different from everyone in my conservative world of wealth management. I thought we shared something special, but Vincent has been playing me this entire time.

As our relationship reaches a crisis point, a man from my past returns looking for a second chance. Is my ex really looking for redemption or is his goal something more sinister?

I try my best to hold it all together, until I discover a revelation that will change everything.

This novella is book 3 of the 3 book Surrender series. (None of which should be read as a standalone.)When Kristen is put in danger, Vincent can't protect her until she trusts him. Can she? Will she ever??Another good paced novella, and ending, to a good series. Chemistry, romance, even a little suspense and angst. I received this book in exchange for an honest book review.

So if you read my reviews for the previous books you'll see that I quite enjoyed Forbidden Surrender, and absolutely loved Secret Surrender. Beautiful Surrender is a different story. I'm not saying I didn't like it, I definitely enjoyed it, and loved seeing Vincent and Kristen's HEA. But, I wanted more... maybe more is the wrong word. Let's go with different. I didn't foresee their story leading where it did. And while I usually welcome surprises in stories, this one kinda left me unsettled a bit. I felt that there was already so much going on leading up to the third book that the plot twists were just a smidge overbearing. So that's my piece on my negatives for the book. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Kristen and Vincent are put through the ringer in Beautiful Surrender. They face obstacles that are tough for any couple in their situation yet, they handle it with a poise and a mostly confident demeanor. I saw a lot of growth in the two of them throughout this book. Partially because of the circumstances handed to them and partially because they were evolving as a couple. That is one of my major checklist points when I'm determining if I liked a series/book. The characters have to show growth. If they're just stationary in their life, then what was the point of the story? And Vincent and Kristen definitely showed me that they could have a life beyond a HEA. The matter at hand in this final book grounded Vincent a little bit. I always saw him as untouchable in the previous books but, in this one I saw a more sweet and protective side to him. You really see his feelings for Kristen come out and they are incredibly explosive. I will say this, prepare for some quiet, alone time when you're reading this. At times it was very intense. I felt like I was feeling so many emotions and there was definitely no way I was allowing myself to be distracted while I read Vincent and Kristen's conclusion. As with the previous book Ms. West is a phenomenal writer. I love her style and the way she writes her characters. She makes them very personable. Every struggle and emotion I could feel and understand. Overall, I'm pleased with how Kristen and Vincent's story ended. I think together these three books make up a solid series that many will enjoy!

I received this book from the author via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.Last book in the trilogy and while it was entertaining, for me it wasn't as enjoyable as the first two. In regards to the crazy ex-boyfriend, Kristen made me want to shake her, after all the crap the ex-boyfriend put her through, she was more upset with Vincent's protection of her than the fact that ex managed to track her down two years after she fled their relationship? Granted, maybe Vincent went a bit overboard, but still her reaction to the situation was ridiculous. And although Kristen and Vincent had been dating for only two months, she never once thought to ask about his family, even after learning he has a sister? I thought that was odd that she learned about his parents not from him, but from his sister. But I did like how he interacted with his nephew.Overall, this is a good series, but while you would think this falls into the same category as the current trend of the bad boy billionaire, Vincent isn't one. He wasn't portrayed as having had scores of women before he met "the one", he's just a good guy who actually thought about getting married and having children one day. A bit predictable, but still entertaining nonetheless and I would definitely recommend this series.

Kristen's ex boyfriend Marty, is still stalking her, even after years of being apart from their college relationship. He's dangerous, and unpredictable. Luckily for Kristen, she's got a strong, and powerful boyfriend who's willing to put his life on the line for Kristen. Vincent would do anything for Kristen, and is willing to prove it. Especially after all their misunderstandings and complications during their new relationship.I thought this was a well written romance, that wasn't fully about the sex. It had substance, and a plot I could actually get into. I enjoyed the read, and will definitely be interested in reading Ms. West's other books. I give this book 5/5.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series. However, I do think it could use a better ending, perhaps even another book added to the series.

Beautiful Surrender by Priscilla WestBook #3: Forever SeriesSource: NetgalleyMy Rating: 4½/5 starsMy Review: **CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR BOOKS 1 AND 2**Beautiful Surrender is the final installment of Vincent and Kristen’s story and it begins with a long and winding trip down memory lane. As we discover in the first two books, Kristen fled her life in Boston to get away from a scary and abusive relationship. Thinking she was safe in a new city was her first mistake and though Vincent has taken steps to help protect Kristen, crazy is crazy and her ex comes a calling looking for a second chance. The situation quickly devolves and before she can mace the bastard, Kristen’s ex is attacked by her two neighbors and Vincent. In the wake of the attack/rescue, Kristen finds her head spinning with trying to understand everything that has happened. Her ex is back, her neighbors are bad ass security guys hired by Vincent and, there is still the matter of the phone snooping and what she discovered at dinner. Kristen feels, among other things, heartbroken, scared and, betrayed. In a move that is sheer cowardice, Kristen refuses to talk to Vincent until she can sort out her feelings. Without so much as giving him a chance, Kristen decides it is time for a break and determines this is what will happen between she and Vincent. Vincent has other plans!Vincent gets where Kristen is coming from and when he convinces her to rationally and calmly talk about their situation, he is able to convince her that they are far better together than apart. Both knows their relationship is on shaky ground but each wants to make the relationship work. In an effort to build a more solid foundation, Vincent introduces Kristen to his sister and nephew. Kristen takes the opportunity to learn more about Vincent and his past and sees, perhaps for the first time that he is very much committed to her and their relationship and he is a man that can absolutely be trusted. As fate and Priscilla West would have it, the universe isn’t quite done screwing with the couple. Kristen’s ex is well and truly bat-sh*t crazy and in what is one totally terrifying scene, makes every effort to take Kristen away from Vincent. Seriously, this is one intensely scary scene that not involves extreme violence but a bombshell secret that Kristen intended to share with Vincent in a very, very different manner and setting. It is only when all the cards are on the table, more than a few bones are broken and, the crazy man is finally contained that Kristen and Vincent can focus on nothing but the two of them! The Bottom Line: I’m truly glad I chose the Forever Series for my first real adventure into the world of billionaires. Vincent didn’t inherit his money and he certainly didn’t have it handed to him and I think that is what made such a huge difference for me where this character is concerned. I very much liked Vincent’s honesty, his intensity, his sex drive, his willingness to be there for Kirsten and help her in any way he possibly could. Though Vincent certainly spends money, he doesn’t use it as a means of controlling Kristen or as a way to bribe (for lack of a better word) her to be with him. In this way, Vincent felt like a very genuine character for me. Kristen on the other hand . . . .bleh!!!! At some point, I think I sort of began to tune her out and only really “listened” to her when she was having sex with Vincent. Clearly, this series and these three reads have been all about the boy for me. From a purely technical perspective, West creates an entertaining and exciting series. There is plenty to keep the reader involved including loads of backstory (I LOVE backstory!), tense moments, scary situations, dirty awesome sex and, a plot that comes full circle in the end with no cliffhangers or unanswered questions. In all, I found Vincent and Kristen’s story to be well worth the time and effort it took to read about them.
