      Most people involved in the Dachshund rescue process are volunteers who love the Dachshund breed. Executive board members oversee the rescuing operations, make decisions about which dogs they are able to rescue, about who will foster them and about who will adopt them. Administrators oversee administration and bookkeeping responsibilities. Transport volunteers help get the dogs from the shelters to fosters and from fosters to their adoptive families.
