About this ebook
TO KNOW A LOVER'S TOUCH AND KISS...
FALLING IN LOVE IS A BLISSFUL EXPERIENCE
Jayden and Cybele are starting to become aware that they aren’t meant to become just a protector and a protected — they are falling for each other. Fast.
As Jayden does his best to provide a solid home for Cybele and her kid brother Ronan while they stay with him, his heart cannot help but fall for both of them. But the way his body reacts whenever beautiful Cybele comes near tells him he is about to face a new challenge in his human life — falling in love. He is suddenly deep into the art of heart palpitations, the constant need to touch, and most of all, the constant desire for lip locks. It is hard for both of them to keep their hands off each other, and he had never felt so happy for being out of control, for once.
But danger lurks in the shadows outside his impenetrable gates, and it attacks sooner than he’s expected. He must put Cybele and Ronan into a safer place before it strikes again.
He had never felt this scared of losing anyone or anything except before he’d lost his wings. And he will never rest before he makes sure he will never lose these two blessings to evil.

EXCERPT
Cybele was at a loss for words but her tear-filled eyes were shining and spoke volumes to him. She managed a nod and a lopsided smile.
“I really want to kiss you right now,” she whispered.
“I know. We’ll have some time, I promise.”
Suddenly, Jayden’s cell phone rang and he answered it though his eyes never left her face.
“Yes, Stella,” he said into the phone and listened. “Wonderful. I’ll be right there.”
“Okay, Stella has put together a light dinner for us and I’m just going up to get it. I’ll be right back.”
“Okay,” Cybele replied. “Can I just walk you out?”
“Sure, that will be fine,” Jayden said as he stared at her quizzically.
As soon as they had stepped into the tunnel and Ronan could no longer see them, Cybele launched herself at Jayden, pressing her mouth to his. He gathered her into his arms, pulling her tightly against his body.
Their mouths explored each other’s desperately as their passion rose to a fever pitch in mere seconds.
Cybele had her back against the tunnel wall, legs lifted and wrapped around Jayden’s waist. As she kissed him hungrily, she could feel the evidence of his arousal and ground herself against him. A moan was building in the back of her throat as he responded involuntarily to the motion of her hips.

CHAPTER ONE
JAYDEN STOOD IN the middle of the room simply staring at the empty space that Cybele had left in his office.
Honest to god, I already miss her, he thought. How is that even possible?
Taking a deep breath, he crossed the room to his desk and settled in his chair. Before this was over, he was going to need to have a serious talk with Alexander. He had been through all of this with Holli. Maybe he would be able to offer some advice in how to proceed.
Obviously, if Jayden and Cybele were going to move forward with a true relationship, she had to be told the truth about him. He had no idea how to go about that and was hoping that Alexander had some bits of wisdom to share with him on that subject.
For now, though, he had a much more pressing task at hand, and that was to figure out who had ordered the kidnapping of his enchantingly beautiful houseguest.
With a few clicks of his mouse, he had found the information that he needed. In fact, it had been easier than he had thought it would be.
Sitting back in his chair, he gazed at the computer screen for a few minutes, slowly putting everything together. As he sat pondering everything, the intercom from his front gate buzzed. Reaching over, he pushed the button that brought up a view of his visitor.
It was a woman in a late model sedan. He couldn't see her well enough just yet to tell what she looked like.
May I help you?
he said into the intercom.
I'm Marion Hyde with the Department of Social Services and I need to speak with a Mr. Jayden St. Paul.
The woman was middle aged, with short gray hair and a rather stern face. Her close set eyes were peering intently into the intercom as if she might be able to catch a glimpse of the person on the other end.
Hmm, Jayden thought. I wonder what new development this is.
He had no doubt that word had somehow reached the authorities that he had a young boy currently staying in his home. And he also knew exactly how that news had reached them.
Do you have an appointment with Mr. St. Paul?
Um, no,
Marion Hyde replied a bit huffily. However, I assure you that it's of the utmost importance that I speak with him immediately. So please let him know that I'm here and waiting.
What a self-important little twit, Jayden thought to himself. Well, she won't be gaining entrance to my home today.
I'm sorry, but Mr. St. Paul is unavailable without an appointment. I'll be happy to schedule something for you later this week.
The woman was clearly not happy with his answer. Jayden almost laughed as he watched her beady eyes narrow even more in her displeasure. Her cheeks puffed out and she seemed to be losing her battle of not yelling at him. He waited.
Now, see here, sir,
she began. "I work with the Department of Social Services and I am a government staff member. Do you understand me? A government staff member! Now, you open this gate right this instant and get Mr. St. Paul!"
It was all he could do not to laugh out loud. This pretentious woman was obviously used to getting her way in intimidating others. She had never tangled with the likes of Jayden St. Paul.
And when he was in a protective mode like today, she
