    Sharyl Attkisson has been a working journalist for more than forty years and is host and managing editor of the nonpartisan Sunday morning TV program Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson. She has covered controversies under the administrations of Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump, emerging with a reputation, as the Washington Post put it, as a “persistent voice of news-media skepticism about the government’s story.” She is the recipient of five Emmy Awards and an Edward R. Murrow Award for investigative reporting. She has worked at CBS News, PBS, and CNN, and is a fifth degree blackbelt master in Taekwondo.

      You should read this book if you are old enough to remember when "objective reporting" was not an oxymoron. You should read this book if you are young enough (or gullible enough) to believe you are getting the whole story, the real story and the real news from your chosen media outlet. You will see "how the sausage gets made" and you will be more discerning as you encounter the "news". Attkisson is smart, tough, and thankfully fearless. Excellent read.

      Great read. Sharyl brings forth details that most Americans were not aware of and some that quite possibly would have changed history had the knowledge been made readily available by a complicit media.

      While the media (print and television) went out of their way to protect the administration, real journalists, like Sharyl, fought the prevalent mentality to seek the facts and truth behind stories.
