This book is a memoir to my childhood school Assisi Convent, some of the true friends I met there, and some fantasy. Life taught me many lessons; I grew up learning from life. Many characters are real and some are my own creations. This tale represents the mental state of a typical Indian student, who has entered the adolescence and experiences the emotions, which were alien to him, his quest to get the answers. This book is his journey for true love of his life. At one point in his life, after joining Air force he fights for his nation and saves it from a war, but his destiny has planned something else for him.
The book is full of drama and emotion, which will help the readers if they can relate their life and experiences with it. It has many experiences that we have in childhood and the mistakes we made. The book is written in a positive sense, and does not vilify or has disrespect for any individual, organization and any country. Enjoy reading and immerse yourself in world of fantasy.

Getting Back to Genesis
The story goes back to 11th Aug 1995 a day before my birth day, I was turning 11 on next day and my friend Gaurav Verma came to meet me, ask why? Okay I was on bed for last 15 days suffering Malaria. He asked me about my health and presented me a small cookie pack as a get well soon gift. So small but caring we were at that time you know, that innocence is now nowhere near.
Something was changing inside me, I started to understand the things meant for adults or you can say I was entering adolescence the middle of nowhere. No one to teach you no one you can tell about the changes you are witnessing, that is what is our Society has been encountering since epic times.
Back to Gaurav, as soon as my mom left the room this little Taimur
, as we used to call him as his one leg was polio affected came close to my ear and said I have something to show you in School. Get well soon and join the classes you are going to cherish The Thing
. I could see a spark in his eyes, so I asked what’s that man, please tell me I am bored for last 15 days being on bed. I repeatedly requested him please, please, please, please but all in vain as I have known Gaurav from first day of my Schooling how unpredictable and rigid he could be. I met him in Lower Kindergarten, first day he was crying as all little devils were. My mom asked his name and gave him a chocolate, he replied Gaurav and he asked mine I told Dilaveez. Mom asked me to befriend him. I hugged him, this is how we make friends, it was the way, my Dad told me. Gaurav again started crying as soon as my mom left. I hated tears, since the day I learnt they showed the sign of weakness, I asked him not to cry repeatedly but no, he won’t stop. I just slapped him and said one more cry and you are finished, well not only him, full class was dumb silent. Soon Sister Kasiana, our class teacher came, as it was convent we prayed and class begun. Something dramatic happed in lunch break, when all were having lunch I waited for my mom to come and feed me with her hands, as she usually does, still sometimes now also. However, there was no sign of her, I started crying, and soon my left cheek was having a burning sensation. I was slapped, & got muffled, in despair I looked up to see who dared that. It was Gaurav, he said, So it’s your weakness
. For a child of four years it was a great lesson that to from a kid of same age, I realized a thing Do not teach or preach until you master that thing
. After this my friendship with Gaurav became a unbreakable bond 24 years hence nothing has changed between us both engineers, expect for our destinies.
Okay, back to 11th August 1995, after my repeated request failed, I said tomorrow is my birthday and I am joining school. Hearing this, Gaurav was on cloud 9, jumping like frog and singing some song………… he said come I have a birthday present waiting for you in school, you will never forget me in life after this. He gave me hug and said we will have party tomorrow. So true he was, that still after 18 years, I remember his each word.
12th Aug 1995
So finally 12th August 1995 came with light shower and cool breeze blowing over whole city it was dripping now and then. I was excited to go to school, not as I was 15 days away from my class and studies but for the Present
, the Thing
waiting for me in school as Taimur has told me.
My mother got my bag packed, planted a kiss on my forehead and both palms wishing me a bright future, an endless life, all my wishes to come true and a ‘reason’ so that his son could rise to the highest orders of society.
My father accompanied me to my school Assisi Convent, so that he can meet Principal Sister Betty and provide her my medical fitness certificate. We were late, two girls were there in her chamber getting scoldings from her, for not having their uniform skirts below knee length. I was taking a sneak peek at both of them and their attire, so that my Dad won’t notice. My gosh they were so beautiful I was awestruck. I passed a smile to younger one who was looking at me as if she will eat me right away, well a loud shout
