I am Donnett Conn, born and raised in the Northeastern part of the U.S.As primary caretaker, I have seen my mother age over the years and oftenwonder as a result of all of the changes, if people are mostly going throughthis process in peace or fighting it. Since more people are delaying retirement, rocking chairs are all but a thing of the past and people are changing theirattitudes about this third age by looking for more creative and leisure activities. What better way to make the most of it than by maintaining ourselves in thebest working order? Thus this book was born. For someone who had spent her early years in candy stores, addicted toevery caramel, peppermint, chocolate, cherry or coffee-flavored item Ifound, it's greatly surprising but fortunate that I didn't carry those habitsinto adulthood. I now enjoy a more educated and healthy diet which hasgrown on me over time – and yes, that really does happen!I have loved sports most of my life and a type A personality has naturallyurged me to press on. My faith in God motivates my present outlook andfuture dreams.

OH YES, YOU CAN Slow The Growth of AGING!

A powerful, condensed guide to slow the aging process

    INTRODUCTION

I could start by saying that this isn't just another stereotyped e-book story about growing older... slower. But the truth is we all need to find a way to take things such as health and pre-illness concerns into our own hands. I believe we must not continue to rely on doctors to carry the full weight of keeping people healthy.

Slowing the aging process is a widely-shared goal. How often have you heard 'You are what you eat'? Your body is the visible result of perhaps pumping iron, sports, yoga or other kinds of exercise. Somehow the outside appearance can seem more important to us than the inside appearance, which in fact, the internal transformations make up for the greatest 'external' benefits that we're striving for!

But the best part is, we can have it both ways.

I don't know about you, but the idea of cheating the clock gets me interested. Marketing experts around the world have long ago figured out the power of 'youth appeal' and there's more truth than ever to the comment - which I first heard in the early '70's - 'you're only as old as you feel' ... so let's explore our physical, emotional and mental sides as human beings and how we can quite easily tap into our fountain of youth.

When I was younger, I commonly heard 'old folks jokes' such as hearing problems, the aches and pains, doctor's advice, injuries, memory loss, vision problems, taking naps, nursing assistance, funerals and such...so no wonder it's imbedded in my brain that the older one gets, the more we're naturally aware
