- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5"Everything was new to the baby Crytoclidus. The sea was full of sights and smells and tastes." We follow a baby plesiosaur and her pod as they explore their prehistoric environment. There is danger that lurks in her ocean. What will happen when the baby plesiosaur wanders too far from her pod? This children's dinosaur book is written with as much scientific accuracy as possible and is still child friendly. Using scientific names and blending facts we know about these creatures including what they ate and how will help kids learn about the plesiosaurs while having fun. Even the digitally constructed pictures are fun and will draw you into the plesiosaur world while depicting the most accurate representations of these creatures that we have. With a strong message of family bonds, this book is great for any child, especially one who loves dinosaurs. At the end of the story are some facts about new fossil discoveries that gave the author the clues to write the story. This book was received for free in return for an honest review.
