THE SECRETS
OF
HEAVENS
The day was Saturday, the end of the week, and at around 6pm on this day, the eve of the Sabbath, I and my friend wanted to attend the mass at an ancient church located across our village. This ancient church was built in the 4th Century A.D; however, due to its damage in the 10th Century A.D, it had not been in use. The story told by our spiritual fathers was that this church was found by a monk in the 18th Century A.D, and was rebuilt to commence its service. Some spiritual fathers that know about the secrets of this place say that across this church exists a unique place known at the heartland of Adam, where the first man Adam lived. Saints from this holy site are said to visit this church regularly in their invisible dimensions.
This ancient church is located not far from the village where we are living, and on the eves of holidays, and Sabbath we usually pass the night together with those who attend night services, and the morning mass. At around 3 am, priests, deacons, and elders enter into this church to conduct their hymns, and songs (Mahet); we also frequently attend the night services, and read the ancient religious books available in this church.
It was recently that I and my colleague started to attend these night church services. In the past years, we usually used to go to a church late in the mornings to attend the mass, and at the end the mass we frequently listen to the preaching from the Gospel, and go home. Such a practice is commonly observed by most of the Christians.
The room where I and my friend spent the night was located to the north of the ancient church, and it was mostly shared by deacons, and priests. In addition, the room has another function; it was also used for baptismal. Nearby this house stood an age old eucalyptus tree, and an old ground plus one building, which was in a bad shape, and as a result it had ceased to provide any service. A person standing at this site, would be able to see at distance the area named as the holy place of the saints, and what is called the heartland of Adam.
On this eve of the Sabbath, when I and my friend arrived at the premise of this ancient church, the deacons were already there; after exchanging the usual greetings, we headed to the place where we usually pass the night, and a while later a priest also arrived. Those of us who were in the room stood up to greet him; he took out a cross from his pocket to bless us, and all of us in the room kissed it. When the priest finished his blessings, he directly went to a wooden coach, and sat on which thatched grass and skin mat was laid on. One of the deacons knelt down to take off the priest’s pair of shoe, while another deacon fetched some water to wash the priest’s feet. As the priest went to sleep, we also slept on the floor unwrapping a mat made of an animal skin.
Whenever, I come to sleep in this room, I usually take a place near the door, and anytime the door openes or closes; I usually wake up before the others. As we normally did in the past, on this night, we all slept at the places of our preferences, and at around 3 am the door opened, but I did not know who opened it. I looked outside through the opened door, and saw a very old man standing near the church’s men’s entrance gate; the old man was leaning on the pole of the veranda; his white beard was on his chest; it tells that he was blessed with an old age. He had a very big book in this hand.
At first, I thought he had come to join the priests, and deacons for the night hymns and songs, however, when I observed his character, I found it a bit confusing. The old man was staring at me in a very calm manner; I was perplexed at his look, and I looked at him; he stared at me too. Then in a calm way the old man took out his big book, and opened the first page in such a way that I can see the first, and then the next page. Although, the distance between me and the old man was nearly forty meters far, I fairly could see the paintings of ancient churches in his big book; and, I could not read nor understand the scripts that were written with the decorated paintings.
The old man kept on opening the subsequent pages, and on each page I saw an ancient church painting, with interwoven stem like decorations all around the pages. At first, I looked at the pages with interest, but I could not continue looking at this phenomenon for a long time; I eventually got bored.
Are you bored?
said the old man reading my feelings
No…I cannot see the script in the book; I do not understand it nor do I know what the book is all about.
My body shuddered, because the old man knew what was in my mind.
Yes. You are right. Since you are looking at the book from afar, you cannot read it easily. Anyways, until the day comes when you will get the book, and read it, and are able to understand the wisdoms and secrets written in it; I have come to explain, and answer your queries
said the old man.
But what is this book? Eee.h! About what is it written?
It is called the secret of Adam; it has all the wisdoms and knowledge of your forefathers who lived in the territory of Adam
"This is the story in brief, according to the Upper Heavens calendar, Adam was created on the sixth year in the place called Earth, where you and me are currently living; he was created to be the ruler of the Heavenly Earth. As the result of this creation, the angels who resided in the Upper Heavens came to the Heavenly Earth, and it was the first contact between the creatures of the Upper Heavens, and the Heavenly Earth. In other words between those who were invisible angels and those who were flesh and blood creatures; these angels made the Heavenly Earth their homes.
On the year of Adam’s creation, one of the angels, St. Gabriel, came to Adam from the Upper Heavens. As per the Heavenly Earth calendar, this angel stayed with Adam for only a day. After this event, other angels came to Adam and took him out of this earth from where he was created; to an extra terrestrial place called paradise. Adam and Eve lived in paradise for seven years; however, they ate the fruit of a forbidden plant, which was not allowed to be eaten by any flesh and blood creatures, and as a result they were evicted out of paradise, and were brought back to the place where they were created.
On their journey back to the Earth, Adam and Eve were accompanied by the angels, and on their arrival they were given a specific territory as their land of dwelling. Adam recorded his experiences, and prophesy’s that he was told for the future. He also wrote, the knowledge’s and wisdoms that he had learnt from the angels. The records were written on Tablets of Stone to be kept for his subsequent generations; it was also meant as a witness to his children, and to accomplish this task he was helped by his Creator.
"Your forefathers applied these wisdoms, and became great people. They learnt and understood from the scripts the secrets of this earth, and the heavens, which were unknown before. It was Adam’s scripts that became the basis for their knowledge. I was looking at the old man dumbfounded, on what he was telling me, and I was not able to say anything for sometime. The old man rearranged his cloth.
And then he asked me,Which one out of these wisdoms do you want to know?
he then lifted his right hand palm, rotated it towards me, and counted his fingers forty times, uttering words that were unknown to me.
I said, I would be delighted, if I am able to get answers to all my questions that I have in my mind
What are the questions that probe your mind?
said the old man staring at me. I felt as if I was a child that just started to utter his first words; I started to tell the old man all the ideas in my mind that I struggled with.
"I am a stranger to this world. I know about my ancient identity from others on the basis of the amount of information, and education given to me; but I want to go further, and know about what wisdoms our forefather had. I want to know the basis of their wisdoms, and the sources of their great accomplishments, and works. For sure, in the past centuries, the wisdom foundation between my generation and our forefathers has been damaged. This generation does not know anything about its past identity. We need not go too far, we could not give any explanation as to how our forefathers were able to build their marvelous works. What we do now is hypothesize and admire.
I said to the old man we do not know where we came from, or where to go from here. We live in a closed house admiring the works of our forefathers, and this makes me worry. I am ashamed of my present identity, and to get out of this identity crisis, I want to follow the present civilization; however, there is a debate going on in my mind, that says,
Where are you going abandoning the foundation of your fathers. Since, I do not know, who can lead me, to the wisdom of our forefathers, I still worry. Nevertheless, I understand that even if a person strives hard to lead his life, he cannot do it by himself alone; he is just like a door hinge that moves back and forth, but does not leave its position.
The old man looked at me in silence for a while, and said "It is certainly as you said, a man in his life time cannot lead his life by his efforts alone, and in his tiresome life and efforts he needs helpers, and masters to lead him in the right direction. Generally, you can take humans like group of herds that stay mixed in a meadow for grazing, but at night, every group of herd goes to its respective master’s place. So, all human beings that dwell in this earth have their masters, and at last when they depart this tiresome world, they have a place to go and live. Those who come to assist humans do
