Chapter 1

Zombie Report (Rayea)

Seven months later after the death of Zombie Steve. Mid June.

In the past, I did not think being a zombie killer would be fun. Even with my being a vampire, the thought of it had always scared me. Now? It was actually enjoyable. I know. Isn’t that weird to say? But yeah, it had become just that. However, my thinking could have been messed up because I was on an extreme high. High on life, as the saying goes.

Let me back track. Seven months ago Lynn, Grace, and I had met our first zombie on Earth. Zombie Steve, as we called him. In real life, he had been Lynn's former boyfriend, the ex she had gone back to so he could beat her up some more while he drank like a fish. Around Halloween last year, we decided to pay Steve a visit and found him dead, and later undead when he sprang to life again as a zombie.

His time as a zombie did not last long. My fledgling vampire, Grace, who has been mastering her skills as a kick ass vampire in her own right, helped me destroy Zombie Steve. That night, we led him out behind Lynn’s apartment building and roasted the poor soul. Having fire power skills is a characteristic of my vampire nature I am truly thankful for now. So Zombie Steve was no more and Lynn was free to pursue her relationship again with Ashton Taylor, our actor friend who was a far better catch than Steve. I had dated Ashton in the past, so I totally approved of Lynn finding a sweet guy like Ashton. A man who deserved her.

After Blick, my best friend and a wolf god in his own right and I got engaged, my prowling around for any and every romance I could find suddenly ended. I had played the field all the time I had known Blick. We had been best friends. I thought that was where it ended. There had been the Michaels, the Ashtons, and more I never brought up to him or wrote about in my journals. It took me dying to realize who meant the most to me, the man who I could not live without, the man who invaded my dreams even when I did not know who he was. Blick. When I returned to the world of the living, I popped the question to him. The first second I had a chance I asked him to marry me, and thankfully he had accepted.

Enter Present Day

The past seven months have been a whirlwind of amazement for me, Rayea, the Vampire from Hell. After a year of unconsciousness, I am back from the dead and a blood god as well, if I let that title go to my head – which I don’t. Fortunately, I passed my Judgment Day with flying colors. Shifting into a dragon probably helped and my saving the Ancient Council from a prison of containment worst than I could ever imagine didn’t hurt. Having that behind me now is wonderful. Anyways, my life is still complicated. It never stops.

I’m engaged to be married.

I’m planning my wedding.

I’m killing zombies at every turn.

Okay, maybe it is not at every turn. Grace and I are keeping the situation contained in America while my fiancée, Blick and the others, Demetri, Ra, J, and Michael search the world for any other outbreaks. Lynn, our best friend who is human is surfing the internet for any and all zombie chatter. It’s a way I devised to keep her off the front lines and safe.

So far, I can report that all is well on the Zombie front, at least for the time being.

However, my father who is Satan has returned to the scene. Sometime ago, I ripped his heart out of his chest and killed him. Or thought I killed him. Now I don’t think he’s dead. I have no proof really, a fact Blick reminds me of when I bring it up on our phone calls. But I’m not crazy. I know I’m not. I feel it in my gut. He’s out there again and he’s the one behind the wine called Devilish Beasts that’s turning humans into zombies. I know it as sure as I have blood in my veins, flammable blood.

Chapter 2

Zombie killing has turned out to be a profitable sideline business for Lynn. After she insisted I get all the profits for my book sales, her income dried up. For a few months, it looked like she would have to return to bartending. But Grace and I both agreed to figure out a business she could run from her apartment. A zombie killing service.

Lynn started a website, www.killurzombie.com and responses poured in. She had a lot of emails to read and analyze as we tried to decide if a possible threat someone sent in was a real zombie sighting or not. More times than not, the call was bogus, but every now and again the call was genuine.

We refused to let Lynn go out on a call with us. She was allowed to go later after the zombie has been destroyed, visit the person who reported the incident, and collect the disposal funds. But that was it. I knew that pissed her off because she wanted to help us, stand side by side with us and kill zombies. A task I did not want our human friend performing. I didn’t want to risk her getting bitten or worst.

Once we had received about a dozen calls and Grace and I had contained
