Yester Jester - Valvin Lee Jeanty

    JENSE C. GLORY

    Little Laure

When you were one year old,

    And made of gold,

I was the apple of your eye.

Your pure love touched my soul,

    And made me whole,

    Your voice became my lullaby.

When you were just a girl,

    And made the world,

For some reason you made me first.

Your pure love gave me youth,

    And made me truth,

Sadly, without your smile I’m worst.

When you were just a child,

    You made me smile,

And gave birth to my best once more…

    You’re pure love without end,

    You made Heaven,

You made me feel loved, T-Laure.

    Talking In My Sleep

No matter where I am (at) your beauty is known

You’re the sweetest joy I call home

You carry me on your back the whole way through

Talking in my sleep, talking of you

You never give the skies my lies

I see beyond my enemies in your eyes

You overcome the yells I once heard

    With your sweet soft-spoken words

My happiness chooses to be a part of you

Talking in my sleep, talking of you

No matter where I am, you’re here with me

    You’re my sweetest love, a heart’s delicacy

And like the voice of a firstborn child

    You make my poetry smile

My thoughts to the world prove nothing new

Talking in my sleep, lovely talking of you

    As Rainbows Sleep

I wonder do you love me without a single doubt

I wonder these thoughts as colors roam freely about

I reflect on all the beautiful dreams that have yet to come true

I reflect on all the sweet words before you I never knew

I remember every smile that you shared with me

I remember your footsteps as my destiny

I believe you are the reason the Sun rises day after day

I believe it’s because of you the stars do not stray away

I admit I’m much too small to understand it all

I admit that your love is at least a hundred heavens tall

I dream that you have secret words to share with me

I dream that emotions inside will be shared mutually

I find myself asking the heavens gently to have you by my side

I find myself with the biggest smile I just can’t hide

Do notice that even while colors roam freely I’m yours to keep

Do notice that I love you dreamingly even as rainbows sleep

    In Between Yesterday

The moment that conjoins our souls is about an hour away

Somewhere ever following that of yesterday

What have you to say of it all

Do we live again or we take stagger and fall

O’ we lyricists, we always have beautiful words for one another

But truth finds still that we’re lagging on becoming for each other

Well, you know how it goes… I just don’t feel I’m worthy

And you, my queen, say that you may someday hurt me

But still a beautiful day it is today, don’t you think

The hour is already upon us, sooner than I could take blink

Damn, the female flesh is an orthodox unto itself

Aren’t I out and into my sickness and health

O’ all the days before my life has birth me to this very day

I’m with every moment that has you, in between yesterday

    Stained Rose

    I

You’re much greater than you know

I know you’re more powerful than you let show

So to leave you was what I chose

Right then a drip touched the rose
