The day started out like any other day, except for a man named Warren Roth, who woke up in the morning with a strange blue dot in the middle of his forehead. It was about the size of a silver dollar and was very bright, almost neon-like. No one in his family, including Warren, noticed it until he sat down at the breakfast table.
Oh my God,
said his wife Joyce. What is that on your forehead?
Warren's 14-year-old daughter Jaime began screaming while his 12-year-old son Seth laughed.
Good one, Dad,
said Seth. April Fools. Ha ha.
It's October, moron,
said Jaime. Get it off, Dad. It's scaring me.
Warren stared at his family. What are you all talking about?
Joyce brought Warren a mirror from her purse. He looked at his forehead.
What in the hell?
was all he could say. He first tried rubbing it with his hand, which did no good. Then he dipped his napkin into a glass of water and started wiping it as hard as he could, again without success.
All right, which one of you did this?
said Warren. Joyce, is this your idea of a joke? I have an important meeting this morning with corporate. This isn't funny.
Warren's family said nothing. They just stared at his head. Joyce got some cleaning fluid from under the sink and rubbed it on Warren's forehead. After several minutes Warren looked at himself in the mirror again.
Great. The dot is still there and now my entire forehead is red. Thanks, honey.
I'm sorry, Warren,
said Joyce. I was just trying to help. She looked at the directions on the back of the cleaning fluid which read, DO NOT APPLY TO SKIN.
Joyce then grabbed some soap and a wet towel to wipe off the effects from the cleaning fluid, which by now had dripped into Warren's eyes, causing a burning sensation.
I've got this stupid mark on my head. My skin is starting to peel and I can't see. How in the hell am I going to be able to meet with corporate in one hour?
Jamie began crying. Seth was no longer laughing. Joyce tried to think of something to say to help the situation.
"Okay, let's all remain calm. First of all, you've got this thing on your forehead that we don't know what it is but I'm sure it's just temporary and will go away. Second, let's put this corporate meeting thing in
