      I didn't particularly care for it. I felt that it was a little too dragged out. The story line itself has potential and the characters are well-matched up, but I think maybe it would have been better had it been somewhat shorter. I also noticed certain phrases thrown into the story that don't fit the time period.

      I will not be finishing the series. If the first book can't set the bar, the rest won't stand a chance either.
