    It was at the start of the fourth week of being there when they heard the noise.

    Does that sound like roaring to you, Al? Nicky asked.

    It came again, from off in the middle distance.

    Fuck yes, deffo roaring Nicky. What do ya reckon then, lion or tiger maybe? asked Al.

    Certainly not a bear! Hard to tell at this distance though mate, it just sounds bloody big and really hungry. That much is for sure. Nicky said.

    The break in the weather gave them time to cut more wood for sharper stakes and position more punji sticks around the shelter. The fact that the fire was still burning kept their spirits high and kept them warm in the almost Arctic-like temperatures.

    Al mate, Nicky said If this break lasts much longer we should really try to get the hell out of here. You know that, right?

    "Of course mate. Neither of us wants to be here much longer, certainly not forever. And not with that great big bugger out there now, up to God alone
