About this ebook

Imagine a weapon that can disable any electronic device silently and undetectably. What if terrorists controlled such a weapon? What if this technology actually exists and has been successively tested?

The fictional apparatus in Newgate’s Knocker is, in fact, based on an actual working model, known in the scientific community as an explosive magnetic flux compression generator. (Note: This is not the same contraption used to power the DeLorean time machine in Back to the Future.) Because the technology currently exits, and some of the aviation sequences are taken from the author’s real-life experiences, the story rings authentic.

Senior FBI agent Bob Capone's hand-picked team of experts work feverishly through the night to connect the curious electronic box, the Bennetti crime family, and Empire captain Mike Nicholson. As the sun sneaks the first light into the nation’s capitol, Capone is finally able to make sense of the myriad of bizarre events brought to his desk during the long night. Flight 855 will depart Chicago in only minutes, and the horrific nightmare will begin to unfold. One hope remains and Capone knows that he'll need more than a miracle to prevent the crazed airline captain from fulfilling his diabolic quest.

Newgate’s Knocker is a complex detective who-done-it combined with romantic comedy, fumbling murderous thieves in the manner of the Coen brothers’ Fargo, and realistically detailed aviation vignettes—all glued together with a currently plausible plot.
