Why This Picture Word Game Book
Studies show that before even uttering his first word, a child uses images to make sense of the world outside his mother’s womb.
Later in life, he discovers new words with the help of labels that he picks up from people around him like parents or siblings. For instance, when he bounces a ball, a parent would tell him, That’s a ball... a ball.
This helps him build the ability to associate words with objects. Learning becomes even more effective when done in a fun, playful and interactive environment.
It is in this context that this picture word game book for kids 5-8 years old was developed:
(a) to provide the child a continuing learning experience to build his collection of words (vocabulary) through word association;
(b) to deepen his understanding of new concepts;
(c) to make learning fun, playful and interactive;
(d) to encourage quality time with parent, sibling or guardian as the child need help while figuring out the picture words.
