    Index

Some words are shown in bold, like this. You can find out what they mean by looking in the glossary.

    What are big cats?

In the shadows between the trees of an Indian forest, half-hidden in the long, waving grass, a powerful predator lurks. Unseen by a quietly grazing chital deer, the tiger stealthily creeps closer, crouching low to the ground. A few moments later, it pounces, a flash of orange and black. Lions

    Leopards

    Jaguars

    Pumas

    Cheetahs

    Clouded leopards
