Many Warnings
Ren heard the warning from a TV screen.
He was watching the news while riding the train.
The superfast train was taking him from school to a mall downtown.
Real monsters,
said the news announcer.
Creatures that look like you or me, but can change in the blink of an eye.
Ren looked around the train car. He was surrounded by a crowd of people.
Were they staring at him?
These creatures may look like humans. But they are not,
the announcer went on. I know it sounds unbelievable, but doctors have discovered a strange new blood disease. A disease that comes from lizards.
