      Not a book to be read if you really want to learn a language for free. Many of links are to pay sites, not too cheap either, which offer short trials. Added to that there is a focus using Google Translate, which any linguist worth their salt knows is a poor tool for anything beyond single words or set phrases. Take my advice, look elsewhere for help.

    I love to study languages, and I think everyone in the world should, and can, learn at least one other language - yes, even if you speak English! I've been reading a lot recently about how to approach language learning. There are a lot of theories out there. I'm not a fan of Rosetta Stone because it's overpriced, and I think there’s just too much free stuff out there to spend that kind of money for something that doesn’t work very well.
