The Battle is the Lord is a modern day David and Goliath tale. It addresses bullying, gangs and wanting to fit in. It also addresses facing our fears head on and sharing the love of God with our enemies.
The Battle is the Lord's
Inspired by the children and I Samuel 17
Scene opens with children playing on the playground. An older group of kids enter and begin to push around and bully the younger children, taking away their toys and making them cry.
Goliath: I am Goliath. The strongest, the meanest, the baddest member of the Philistine Gang. This playground is now ours to do with it whatever we want to do with it. Starting today, if you want to play here you have to pay. Now, I'm a pretty fair guy so I'm going to give you a chance to keep the playground. Here's the deal. One of you
