About this ebook

This is a sweet romance fantasy fiction short story (word count 5,898).
Jess is taken by surprise when she discovers that she is being watched and followed. She is all the more stunned when she finds out that the identity of her watcher is a man named Gideon who has magnificent green eyes that resembles her own eye colouring!
And even more disturbingly Gideon, upon being questioned, tells her that he is a witch and that she is one too. He explains that has been following her since he noticed her hypnotising an innocent market seller with her magical ability, an action that revealed her to be the same kind as him.
Jess knows nothing about witches and has no real knowledge of her own true identity, which has been hidden by her folks. But now that Gideon has peaked her interest, she is ready to gain a better understanding of who and what she is. But even though she thinks she is ready to find out the truth of her identity, she had not counted on, at the same time, being so ill-prepared for the emotions and feelings that Gideon’s presence is able to provoke within her!

As long as I can remember I have always loved everything and anything to do with the romance genre. Enjoying writing, reading and watching a wide range of love stories. I am a true romantic at heart! So after studying for a philosophy degree and then going on to work in a corporate job in advertising, I decided to reconnect with my passion again! I now write mainly romance short stories, with the aim to share all of my ideas with others who also have an interest in romantic fiction. I write in a range of romance subgenres including erotic romance, contemporary, sweet, paranormal/fantasy fiction and historical. I hope to continue writing as long as my ideas keep flowing out from my mind. In early 2014 I experienced my own personal love story, when I married my one true love. I now live together with my husband in London.

    Chapter 1

‘Why have you been following me?’ Jess questioned the lone stranger as she ran up the hill to reach him.

‘I was surprised to see another like myself I had not known about,’ the man said, turning toward her as he took down his hooded cloak.

Jess stared into his striking green eyes, noticing that they matched her own eye colouring, and was left almost speechless. That was where the resemblance between them ended, however. Where her face shape was small and perfectly oval, he had a hard chiselled chin and a light layer of hair that covered his lower face, a proud hawk like nose and high cheek bones, his features adding up to give him an impressive, ruggedly handsome look that Jess tried to ignore though she felt butterflies form inside her stomach. She did not want to be distracted from her questioning of him, but could not help but push back a curl behind her ears, from her mass of flaming red hair that had come undone from running up the hill.

The mystery man, in turn, watched her every movement, giving her an intense look that she did not know quite know what to make of. He looked at her all over, from her petite womanly frame to her face with her soft-looking lips and little button nose, to her big, striking, deep green eyes that could control men. He looked intensely into the depths of her eyes, standing almost completely still in front of her.

For some moments, Jess stared back at him in shock. She felt that they were making some sort of connection that she could not completely understand. It
