    God says: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.(Jeremiah 29:11 13).

    For you to seek God and find Him is my earnest desire for this write up. And the only one prerequisite for finding God is to seek Him wholeheartedly. Your earnest spiritual quest always brings the reward of finding God and receiving His blessings.

    The contents of this book are based in part on my personal life experiences, how God has been dealing with me especially when I gave my life to Jesus. The memoir is devotional in approach, designed to revolutionize your walk in the Spirit. Reading this book could seriously change your attitude toward yourself and circumstances that surround you. It could push you out of the comfort zone to build endurance in prayer and reading the word, until walking in the Spirit becomes a way of life that you would never forfeit.

    Meeting Jesus is life changing. Everyday encounters are part of His plan. No one can leave his presence and remain the same. Here is what most people like you miss. You do not encounter God. He encounters you. And He initiates encounters with you, not in order to give you warm devotional thoughts, but to forever change your life. As Jesus reveals His will to you through His Spirit, you are compelled to adjust your life to His activity and join Him in His work.

    An Encounter With Jesus is designed to help you operate powerfully in the Spirit Realm. Jesus never wanted you to lead weak and powerless life. God wants you strong every day of your life. He wants you to walk daily in His Spirit, confronting every situation from a position of power of the Holy Spirit.

    Goodfriday N. Aghawenu hails from Ogume in Ndokwa West L G A of Delta State, Nigeria. He gave his life to Christ at the age of 11 and he was baptised into the Baptist family at the age of 20. At 28, he felt led to enter the Christian ministry and had received his ministeral training. His B.A. (Hours) and MA. Were awarded by University of Ibadan, his B.Th; M.Th, and Ph.D by the Nigeria Baptist Theological Serminary, Oghomoso. Aghawenu is a Christian Ethicist and The President of Baptist Theological Serminary, Eku, Delta State. He is happily married to Pastor (Mrs) Agatha K. Aghawenu (Nee Nnegbe); and they have two lovely daughters, Chimdinma and Chimdindu and a dynamic son, Chimdike to the glory of God. Dr. Aghawenu and his wife are labouring for moral and spiritual holiness in their people by means of the exaltation of the mind and spirit to the mystenies of God.
