      Chapter 1 WHAT’S AN AUDIO BOOK?

      An audiobook is an audio CD or DVD having the content normally associated with a printed book, or an electronic book.

      The audio book plays out as a CD would, except it the reading of a paperback and is also known as a book for the blind.

      The audio content can be reversed to an earlier point in the audio presentation and repeated as many times as needed to review or repeat content.

      Many of us only have time for a good book while driving or traveling.

      These books can not only be listened to on the desktop computer, they can also be listened to on your laptop, your Walkman or any device with a CD or DVD drive.

      Chapter 2 HOW DO I CREATE ONE?

      The method is simple, if you focus on recording the audio and then editing it to achieve the best quality.

      The audio magic is achieved using the free, open source, cross-platform software for recording and editing sounds.

      The sound editing software can be downloaded from;

      Audacity.exe is one of the finest programs I have ever seen. Audacity.exe is freeware and is fully functional, without ads.

      Once you have downloaded and installed it, you will see the audacity.exe shortcut on your desktop.

      Click on the Audacity.exe icon to start the program and look at the mode of operation. The program will probably open in stereo mode. Stereo mode is not accepted by Createspace.com.

      While Createspace.com requires monaural mode for the production of video books, they do
