    I have written many books and documents but none seem to be needed more than this one on healing and miracles. Nothing seems to be more misunderstood than these two topics. They have been such a part of my life since 1995. I dedicate this book to my family who have endured all the hours of me spending time at the hospitals ministering to people, at all hours of the day and night. The Bible tells us to seek the best gifts and I have always felt that God gave me the best gift by giving me the gift of healing and of miracles. I have seen a life time of joy that it brings to those that it touches. To God be all Glory, for through him all things were done and are done!

    Dr. Richard Sparks created Lionheart Ministries in Athens, Al. in 1997 to break down the walls of traditions in the church today. He has served as the pastor of Southwind Christian Center from 1997 till 2012 and Lionheart Christian Church from 2012 till present. He serves as President of Lionheart Ministries and Lionheart Christian Academy.Richard has been a Project Engineering Manager in the Nuclear Power Industry for over 30 years. Richard has taught in both the industrial settings and at the college level. Richard has degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering and Human Factors Engineering. He is a Navy Veteran.Richard has been married to Sheila Sparks since 1979. Sheila is the founder of Lionheart Christian Academy. The Sparks have one daughter Telitha and one granddaughter Ella.

      Chapter 1

      Is It God’s Will To Heal You?

      Is it God’s will that we be healed?

      Being in an area thick with religious traditions, I am often asked if it is God’s will to heal. The answer I give is simple.

      Why would God give us scripture about something that is not his will for us to have or receive?

      Matthew 8

      16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

      17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

      Isaiah 53

      4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

      5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

      Jesus provided for our healing, because He took our infirmities and sickness upon himself. With every strip that was laid on him, sickness was destroyed. It has no more dominion over us. When Jesus took away
