    Preface

T     his book about using yogic techniques to develop a flat stomach,

is my contribution to the vast and amazing science of yoga. I know that I am reducing the science of yoga to a fitness routine by writing this book, but the condition of the modern-day man is such that basic problems like a potbelly need to be addressed first. Hopefully, in the process, people who have no idea about yoga, or dislike the practice for some reason, may get initiated into this science. I know that yoga is not meant to flatten your abdomen. This book is part of a series to perfect the human body, the temple inside which you live your entire life. In this book, you will start with a set of easy exercises, and then move on to more and more difficult ones as your strength and your muscles develop. Unless the body is challenged progressively, it will not improve. Like the human mind, the body too, responds to a challenge and tends to stagnate when there is none. A 20-minute workout every day will keep your stomach in good shape. You will also find that the moment you remove fat from the
