About this ebook

Accepting arthritis is not the same as accepting pain.
Most patients of arthritis believe there is nothing they can do about the pain that accompanies the disease. Worse still, they believe any exercise of the joint will further worsen it. This handy and effective book breaks such myths and helps you manage and control arthritis.

I find by experience, that the mind and body are more than married, for they are most intimately united; and when one suffers, the other sympathizes.

Lord

— Lord Chesterfield

How true and how very expansive. Yes, when the body suffers from arthritis, the mind suffers from anxiety and depression and therefore, a need to understand arthritis is that much more important.

Understanding brings control.

Preface

One never seems to appreciate the bounties of God. How often have you thought about the gift of refined locomotion that man has been bestowed with till you see a person who is unable to do so. Though diseases like rheumatoid arthritis are on the decline, yet age-related diseases are growing as we have a generation that has lived longer than any generation. The need to educate this group to prevent and manage disease conditions is the thought behind this tiny book.

Let years wrinkle only the skin, not the soul.

no possibility of movement. On the other hand, a joint, where two bones are held to by a thick layer of fibrous tissue or fibro cartilage, a very limited range of movement is possible. This type of joint can be seen in the bodies of the vertebra where the disc
