A short, grin-worthy read! Perfectly light and humorous.

[KISSING MR. SCROOGE] was an adorable novella, perfect for fans who love those sweet and swoon-worthy movies on the Hallmark channel this time of year. Kary has such an amazing style of writing and you can’t help but adore her characters. Madeline was a quirky little thing full of sass and I loved the fact that she could bring humor to all things bad. She’s heroine-worthy to me! Great book. Definitely got me into the holiday spirit!

    LUCKY IN LOVE

Match levels are conclusive, but compatibility isn’t exclusive—

Dr. Huxtley, the database’s creator was saying something technical, but I wasn’t paying attention to the jargon.

I shot another glance at my supervisor. Her expression was stony, but it was a bright pink stony, and her body was rigid. She still didn’t acknowledge me. She had known about our match-up and, I suspect, even sanctioned it. Those intricate disclosure agreements hadn’t come out of thin air. But it didn’t make sense. Why was the little she-devil ignoring me and driving me crazy? If I was of no interest to her, why would she have hired me?

A broad smile flexed the muscles of my face. Because I was of interest to her. Supreme interest. She was scared. Terrified. I nearly chuckled at the logic of it all. I was a fool not to have seen it before.

    Luck? Don’t Know Any Luck

How would you describe him? My bestie since college leaned over the tiny wooden table, her hazel eyes drilling into me.

How would I describe Lucas Luck? He’s attractive. I bent my head over my coffee, knowing Chelsea would see right through what was an egregious understatement and a misdirect.

I haven’t seen you like this since your brief stint with Cassidy. She broke off the top of her blueberry muffin. I know you, Luce. You don’t get all hot and bothered about someone who’s ‘attractive.’

I’m not hot and bothered. Whiny resentment made my words sound false. They were false. I was far too hot and way too bothered, but she didn’t have to bring up when I’d slept with Jared Cassidy. That was something that could seriously ruin my morning.

Jared and I had just left a company thing where both of us had been drinking. He invited me to his place for some more wine. I accepted. We got naked, and the next morning when I went to greet him in his office, I was greeted by the sight of his hand up the receptionist’s shirt. Maybe Mr. Lucky was like Casanova Cassidy. It would make sense, what with the way he looked.

This guy has got to be something. My friend of eleven years stared searchingly.

Fine. I slammed my hand on the coffeehouse table and the little thing rattled my cup, spilling hot mocha on my hand. Ouch. Lucas Luck is the walking, talking epitome of everything I could want in a man. He’s more than I even imagined. And therein lay the problem. "The man has the favor of the gods, Chelsea. He’s sexy when he scowls, boyishly handsome when he grins, and around me he seems to always be doing one
