OK, so this is really just an introduction, but would you have read it if I had called it that? An Introduction sounds like something boring and unnecessary, but a Free Chapter? Well, that’s got to be a good deal.

If you don’t normally read introductions and you feel like I’ve tricked you into reading this one, then you’re right, I have. Get used to this, because in the coming chapters I intend to trick you into doing many other things that you would not normally do. And, what’s more important, I intend to show you how you can trick yourself.

You may be wondering why this is necessary. Why would you need to trick yourself? Well, chances are you have already tried self improvement methods with diets or fitness plans that were just too tough to maintain. Or, maybe this is your first attempt but you don’t think you will enjoy strict diets and exercise regimes so you are looking for an easier alternative. Either way, this short book will show you ways to trick yourself into improving how you eat and exercise, with minimal effort.

It’s possible this talk of trickery may be putting you off. It may go against the grain of what you think exercise and diet control should be all about, which is namely hard work. But the cold truth is that hard work is hard, and we often find it too hard. The easy way is easy, so if it works, why not do it the easy way? Avoiding what we dislike is a good idea, and we all inherently dislike the hard way.

Now, there is a very important reason as to why this is. Why you don’t want to diet or maintain an exercise regime. Why you would much rather do as little as possible and eat and drink whatever you want. The reason for this is that you are flawed.

Don’t be offended. You have flaws. I have flaws. We all have flaws. So don’t feel bad when I point these flaws out because
