The sting of tears pricked her eyes, but she would not allow herself to weep. She cleared her throat and prepared to face the rest of the day. She was tired. Tired of it all. It didn't seem to matter what she did. She could not succeed. Not in this world, anyways. Maybe it would be better if she just lived in a world in her head. But she tossed that notion aside, almost as quickly as it had formed.
All she knew was what they didn't want. That's all she could produce. Or so it seemed.
