About this ebook
He is everything she doesn’t want, so why does she want him so badly?
From the New York Times Bestselling Author Penny Reid
One week.
Private beach.
Invisible girl.
Jerk-faced bully.
What’s the worst that could happen?
Kaitlyn Parker has no problem being the invisible girl, which is why she finds herself hiding in various cabinets and closets all over her college campus. Despite her best efforts, she can’t escape the notice of Martin Sandeke—bad boy, jerkface bully, and the universe’s hottest, wealthiest, and most unobtainable bachelor—who also happens to be Kaitlyn’s chemistry lab partner.
Kaitlyn might be the only girl who isn’t interested in exploiting his stunning rower’s build, chiseled features, and family's billionaire fortune. Kaitlyn wants Martin for his brain, specifically to tabulate findings of trace elements in surface water.
When Kaitlyn saves Martin from a nefarious plot, Martin uses the opportunity to push Kaitlyn out of her comfort zone: spring break, one week, house parties, bathing suits, and suntan lotion. Can she overcome her aversion to being noticed? Will he be able grow beyond his self-centered nature? Or, despite their obvious chemistry, will Martin be the one to drive Kaitlyn into the science cabinet of obscurity for good?

Reviews for Attraction

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Quite funny... I wasn't expecting it to be so good. I knew that this was only the first book of three so I didn't end up dissatisfied and irritated by the ending. I was only eager to go on to the next one and hoped it would reach my expectations. I think it says good things of a book if an author, after 200 pages, can keep you glued to its pages and make you interested in the sequel.
Anyway, as other has said the book seems more an YA than a NA but, in the whole, I didn't think it's so important to label it. The main point of the book is the MCs relationship. How they interact with one another and how they grow in the meantime. In the case of Attraction, they are witty and following their banter can make your day for sure. ;)
"I grumbled, but made no other audible response. Inwardly, I cursed myself for the hundredth time that I’d failed to warn Martin about the plot I’d overheard in the chemistry lab earlier. If I’d just kept my wits about me I would be curled up with a book now instead of walking toward a den of inequity dressed like a girl."
"I returned to my pillow and comforter, both of which I loved; they smelled like lavender, and were so cozy, poems should be written about their epic cozy wonder."
"She told me I should be proud of my healthy shape and healthy body, and love and treasure it because it was mine. No one, she said, could tell me what to think of my body. If I let another person’s opinion matter I was giving him or her control over me, and I had complete control over my self-image." - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Attraction by Penny Reid (Audiobook)Narrated by: Cris DukehartSeries: Elements of Chemistry Book 1; Hypothesis 1.1 4 Stars - I loved Kaitlyn, loved her awkwardness and smarts. I have mixed feelings about Martin, as this book is a bit of a cliffhanger I will reserve judgement on him until I finish the rest of the books. I truly enjoy Penny Reid’s writing style and I have the next book ready to go! Cris Dukehart did great on narration. Clear spoken with enough variety in her voices to differentiate characters. ~ Paragraphs and Petticoats ~
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This book is just a tease for books to follow. If I wanted a tv show I'd watch tv to be continued...
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I feel disappointed... and maybe cheated a bit. What is the point in dividing a book like this into three parts? It is not that long or complicated. Oh, of course, I can perfectly understand the marketing point of view making you invest more money. But still, it's like cheating on your readers. If you don't write a doorstopper written so splendidly that they want to savour it for months, making your readers buy three books short stories instead of one is just mean.
Well, I knew it is only a part one but I have still expected it to be more a completed story and not some introduction with a cliffhanger.
I generally enjoyed the main characters and the plot. I liked that there isn't too much youthful drama and that Martin seems to be more into Kaitlyn than she is into him. But I wasn't allured enough to go for another book(?).
As I said everything ends in a cliffhanger but thanks to the sneak chapter in my copy of the book I know how the things get straight. I don't feel an urge to read another part. I wish it was sold as a full book and not some ridiculous parts but I'm still giving it 3 stars. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Entertaining as hell! It's April 30 already! Where's the 2nd part Scribd!?!?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love it! I am dying for the next book to come out though!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoy this writer her books are fun, while not being too goofy, they give me the romance I need. Only reason I did not give the book 5 stars is because of the ending.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Classic Penny Reid featuring a quirky, nerdy girl who fall in love. Attraction is the first of a trilogy and it definitely needs to be read in order. The first book ends in a cliffhanger. Luckily, all three books are available on Scribd so you can easily read one after the other.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I like the quirkiness of the female lead. I like the sexual tension. I'm definitely interested to find out where it goes. The ending leaves you wanting more for sure.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Penny Reid writes the best contemporary romances, both intelligent and very funny. I love all her Knitting in the City books and the Winston Brothers series, so I've been diving into her back-catalog to find more Reid books. Kaitlyn Parker is the studious but introverted girl who ends up with hot manwhore Martin Sandeke as her Chemistry lab partner. She's pretty frustrated with him and his lack of work effort but when she overhears a plot to drug him and accuse him of rape, she does the right thing and warns him. Martin uses the opportunity to repay her by having her come along on spring vacation for some fun in the sun. Kaitlyn agrees though she has no intention of falling for Martin. It's trademark Penny Reid with laugh-out-loud dialogue and sweet moments. I really enjoyed the book, and was lucky enough to grab the entire series since this book ends on a cliffhanger.
