I'm the co-author, with Sunset Thomas, of Anatomy of An Adult Film.I have 48 novels and over 299 short stories currently published.I spent my early years in the part of Los Angeles known as the South Central. I was known as Whi' Boy, which was sufficient to identify me in that place. I'm a skilled Kung Fu player, using a system that I learned from a Korean I knew only as 'Pak.' It would be easier to tell you the places that Pak wasn't wanted by the police, rather than the places where he was wanted by the police. Pak's Kung Fu system, augmented by some bits and pieces from some Chinese practitioners is quick and effective, or I wouldn't be alive today. My early education was mostly obtained by stealing books from the public library (I always returned them and the Librarian even began to provide me with reading lists.) I did go to high schools, but I never really learned anything there. I eventually graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, UCLA, with a degree in mathematics.I work as a Systems Analyst and also make a part of my living as a professional gambler (legal in Nevada.) I write science fiction and erotica. My published novels are:Anatomy of An Adult Film (With Sunset Thomas)1. Second Chance: God Killer2. Second Chance: Sky Pirate3. Second Chance: Scroll Seeker4. Chapter 1: Bethran Bait

It’s circled in his map and apparently the informant was correct. But even if it hadn’t been in his map, Jared could scarcely have missed the beacon of garish neon lights in a little cove in the winding mountain road. Jared pulls into the parking lot and finds a parking spot at the end of a row of dusty, local looking pickup trucks and cars.

As he parks, Jared checks his image in the rear view mirror. His handsome face is well barbered and framed by the kind of style you only get with a $100 big city hair styling. When he gets out of his car, Jared stretches his lean but muscular six foot six inch body. He then carefully extracts his sports coat from the hanger behind the driver’s seat and puts it on. A quick check of his expensive clothes and Jared is ready. As always he thinks: ‘Here I come, you lucky lady!’ Ego can be a weapon and Jared uses the weapon well.

As he strolls over to the entrance a bit of worry gnaws at the back of Jared’s mind. It’s been a while since he’s snared a live one, quite a while. The Boss is getting a bit edgy. It’ll be well if he finds what he’s looking for tonight.

As he walks into the place, Jared sees the tall, slim, beautiful blonde lady who’s his target. She’s currently completely surrounded by local hopefuls, but Jared knows how to handle that.

He finds a space down at the other end of the bar and orders a name brand double bourbon, instead of his usual single malt scotch since the place isn’t the kind of bar that stocks fancy scotch.

As he gazes about the room, Jared is the only man in the place wearing a sport coat, the rest of the men wear the usual cowboy chic. Of course, Jared stands out. This is exactly what Jared has planned.

It’s not too long before someone mentions the fact of Jared’s clothing.

Jared, feigning a bit of whiskey fueled bravado says, I may have to sell to hicks, but I don’t have to dress like one! His comment has no more impact than tossing a bucket of gasoline into a fire.

A hand spins Jared around. A large, muscular looking cowboy snarls, What the hell did you say, buddy?

Jared regards him coolly. He then says, Oh, it was English, probably a bit confusing to a bovine boy like yourself.

The big man’s right hand whistles past the area where Jared’s head has just been. Jared’s left strikes the big man’s washboard stomach with a hammer blow, quickly followed by a right to the solar plexus and a left hook to the big man’s jaw. The big man drops like a sack of potatoes.

Jared prods the fallen tough with the toe of his shoe. He looks around and asks, Was this the local champion? There’s no answer from the guys in the bar. Jared muses, Well, I guess he was. There’s a new champion tonight! The champion always gets to talk to the prettiest lady in the house.

Jared moves in on the blonde lady, flashing the big smile of a man on the make.

She coos, Well, big boy, you sure are tough. And you sure are dumb. Do you think you can fight all these cowboys?

Jared grabs the nearest cowboy and uses pressure on the carotid artery. The man collapses quickly and Jared throws him aside. One at a time, or all at once?

The bartender appears at Jared’s elbow with a shotgun. He motions toward the door with the weapon, Okay tough guy, out!

Jared bows slightly to the blonde lady and said, Your pardon my lady. Parting is sweet sorrow, but I never argue with a man with a shotgun in his hand.

The blonde lady walks over to Jared and hisses in his face: Look, you idiot, out of the kindness of my heart I’ll walk you to the door so that no one splatters your oversize ego on the floor. Someone has to take care of fools and the mentally deranged.

    Jared offers his arm.

The blonde lady affects a shy little girl pose. She simpers, Oh, how noble! Yes! Let’s pretend that the big man will walk the little lady over to the door.

As they stroll to the door the lady stage whispers, "These cowboys work hard all day.
