About this ebook

Using public transportation as your main means of transport can be challenging, to say the least. It has its ups and downs, pluses and minuses. However, when you look at the inner city transportation system, that's an entirely different story.

After several facebook posts about her transportation woes, the Author, Ms Shaquanda, decided to chronicle her journey. The chronicles are funny, sad and enlightening all at the same time.

Ride along with her as she experiences life via the bus, but make sure you read it until the end...
The mandate is great...

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to all of my facebook friends who sent an inbox, comment, text, email, tracked me down in the streets and called to tell me, You need to write a book! Thank you for your encouragement and support for this project. You are greatly appreciated.

To all the people who I’ve observed on the buses, at bus stops and on the train, thank you. I promise to pay forward as best I know how. Your needs have not gone unseen. From the frustrated businessman, to the young mother in need of parenting skills and around to the young man that needs someone to pray and believe in him, and back down to the drivers…I give voice to your struggles.

I would like to acknowledge my two special bus driver friends: the Hypochondriac and the My other Best Friend. Thank you. Although you don’t know it, you’re friendship helped me through some really tough patches. I’ll never forget either of you.

H.T.E. – There’s so much God has placed in you! I pray that one day you move out of your ‘I can’t and won’t ever’ into the mind-set that says…’I will and nothing will stop me as long as I have Jesus by my side!’ You can do it man! Dream big, go hard or keep driving the bus!

E.D.S.S. - To one of the Best Friends I’ll ever have – I appreciate you. I don’t think there will ever be adequate words to express what I want to say. Just know, I’ll always be here, even f you don’t see me...#100% #Friends4Life...Always Remember, He’ll never leave you nor forsake you...However, you can push Him away.

T – (I’ll tell you who you are when I see you, lol) – The passion in you re-inspired me!

To my morning drivers, Will and Cedrick…thanks for not leaving me! LoL…How many mornings was I RUNNING out the door and you picked me up? I appreciate you.

Cedrick - Thank you so much for the advice and hook ups to get this project to the right people. I appreciate you!

I bet you they are going to read now! lol

Web – I decided to take the real life t.v. and put it on the pages. Keep making people laugh. The line wouldn’t be right without you!

    Dedication Cont’d

There is a #25 bus driver I want to acknowledge, even if he never reads this; God knows I don’t know his name. Be that as it may, one day, through no fault of his or the bus itself, I hurt myself while boarding. He showed such genuine concern. His compassion has stuck with me years later…you are appreciated.

To all of the drivers who, over the years, have safely driven me from place to place, I salute and appreciate you. I know it’s your job, but still I say thank you.

To the passengers and drivers who gave me the contents of this book: THANK YOU!!! lol

    Introduction

I caught the bus for the first 21 years of my life. By the age of 22, I had a vehicle my cousin had given me. Before I was 23, I upgraded and got something a little more spacious. Eventually, that car died on me and I couldn’t afford to fix it, so I junked it for $50. I was broke and the little change was helpful to me at the time. Two years later, I
